Bigfoot Books was born out of both frustration and hope. After seeing story after story about book bans, DEI programs being cut, and the negativity swirling on social media, I realized something: I already had a community right here to connect with — so why not start there?
With a passion for inclusive education and bringing people together, I launched Bigfoot Books. As a self-published author myself, I soon met other incredible writers — all connected to the disability community — who were creating beautiful stories that deserved to be shared but often struggled to reach families.
Together, we’re changing that.
At our pop-up events, families get free access to inclusive children’s books, games, and activities. Sometimes, kids even get to leave with a book of their own to take home and treasure.
